In a previous post we advised patients that we were still waiting for searches to be issued by NHS England, to pick up very high risk patients that had not been identified in NHS England’s initial central search.
NHS England have not given us the information to be able to perform these searches, but we now understand that instead the searches are being performed by them. NHS England are then contacting patients directly either by letter or text.
We have not currently been given any information about which of our patients have been identified and added to the very high risk group. This is the case nationally and not specific to Theale Medical Centre.
We understand the worry patients may be experiencing, due to uncertainties as to whether they fall into the at risk group. Please rest assured that we are doing all that we can and are following all official guidance as it is released.
NHS England has published a list FAQ for patients which you may find helpful at www.england.nhs.uk/FAQs-Patients
