Missing Persons with Dementia

Thames Valley Police launches the Herbert Protocol.

A new tool to help find missing people with dementia has been launched in partnership with search and rescue teams of Thames Valley.

The Herbert Protocol is a form to record key information about a person with dementia. It should be completed by the person’s carers or family members in case they go missing. The idea is that this form can then hand be handed over to the police to help find the person.
